Heater meals... self-heating food! *LINK*

Hello all,
This may be old news for you folks, but here on the island where we just got the movie "Meet the Fokkers" (and I mean in the theatre, not on video) things are a bit slow to come. My buddy was at a seminar on GPS units, and they gave away some freebies. One of the freebies was a thing called "HeaterMeals". They come like a TV dinner (but don't require refrigeration), and they have a packet of God-knows-what sealed in a pouch. You take the packet and add water (included in a foil pouch). The packet then gets really hot. You dump the meal upside-down on the packet and it heats the meal until steaming.
I've yet to get a report from him on how it tasted, or how well it worked. Apparently the packet of hot stuff is self-contained so you don't get any chemicals in your food. It just transfers heat to the food. Pretty cool. They are kinda bulky for packing, but at least you don't need a stove and messy fuel. I guess also if you got stranded on a cold wet night you could pop one under your sleeping bag!!!
Oh, and another thing, according to the seminar they are increasing the accuracy of GPS to within a matter of centimeters within the next few years. Apparently they are acquiring more satellites and changing a few things in the way the GPS translates the data, but I didn't go to the seminar, so I won't try to give details.
Check the link for heater meals.
