: Anyway, how do you like the feathercraft, compared to your stripper?
I don't like either

Each has their own strengths - My daughter paddles the stripper and loves it. I prefer my fiberglass gulfstream, but there are a few things I dislike about it as well. The main thing being that I didn't bring it with me to Japan!
: Looks like you are storing it assembled currently. Maybe there are future
: plans to take it on a train? That feathercraft is a PIA to assemble. I was supposed to live in the barracks here in Japan, so I *needed* a boat I could pack away. But that has changed and I'm living off base, so I leave it assembled except for occasional break apart maintenance. 45 minute assmebly doesn't seem like a lot, but add assembly/disassemebly to every trip every weekend (and in the cold winter it is an even bigger PIA) and soon you want to hollow out a log and cartop it around. I've been looking to buy a hardshell for the last few months, but haven't found one locally yet. Maybe when it warms up they'll have something at sports authority in town.
