: Here is a high-tech solution to a problem we all have on occassion. I saw
: this in a Whitewater Paddler magazine ad, and I thought I'd share it just
: to get the flame war going.: There have been times when I though something like this would help during
: roll sessions and times when I've been scared with my head underwater in
: real life when this seems like it would have been cool to have. With my
: luck, I'd rely on it so much I wouldn't practice my roll, then not be able
: to find the breathing tube while my head was dragging along the rocks! No flames here. Way back when I actually bought a breathing tube from Radical Designs that does basicly the same thing though the KUBA system appears that it might work better at a significantly higher cost. I think I used the Breathing Tube 2 or 3 times before I came to realize that it was too much hassle. It was a decent product, I just felt like it was the wrong way to approach the problem.
Zealot Mode On:
Those seriously thinking about any breathing aid might want to consider if professional instruction (in rolling and/or bracing) might eliminate the need for any such device.
Zealot Mode Off:Have fun, enjoy the war!
