: glass boats. If its durability you want, then buy a kevlar boat.I found this comment interesting. In my experience kevlar is used to save weight only and this is done by making the hull and deck thinner. Because of this a kevlar and fiberglass boat have roughly the same strength.
As for durability, a plastic boat will stand up to the rigors of hard landings on rocky shores and to being bragged over all types of terrain far better than glass or kevlar.
I would be interested to know how your experience differs from mine in this department because I have always told people if they wanted a boat that could take some abuse they should get a plastic one. Maybe I have been steering them wrong all along.
