The tips on my paddle are 3-1/4" also. I might go to 3-3/4" next time, but as 3-1/4" seems to be pretty much in line with what others have used, I'll just give it some time for now and see how it goes.

The flutter isn't bad and I do use the angled entry which does help. Just wondered if it was my paddle or characteristic of the Greenland paddle in general.
