Don,
When I first tried the forward tilt, the paddle would dive towards the kayak. I made a concerted effort to stop this and now I don't really notice it anymore. I use a reverse tilt for bracing sometimes, but try to use the forward tilt that Greg describes for my forward stroke. I had to learn it from reading about Maligiaq Padilla, as there aren't a whole lot of Greenland style paddlers that I paddle with. I still have a lot to learn, but I am trying to get my speed equal to Jerry's (my former guide paddling partner).
Actually I'm mostly left-handed too, but I am quite amidexterous(sp?), or as my brother used to say amphibious.

: Greg,
: Doesnt a forward tilt tend to pull that side down toward the water? Ive been
: using a "reverse tilt" such that it's part brace, part stroke.
: Am I bass-ackwards again?!?! Or is it OK because I'm left-handed?
