i've been in 53 degree water in a full wetsuit for as long as 14 minutes and while i wouldn't say i was 'cozy', i would say i was warm enough to play the piano if you know what i mean. (fingers still working well). also was able to solve easy math problems, so my mind was working well too. this was done during practice of "all-in" rescues -- where 4 people were out of their boats in rough water and had to all be in and ready to paddle within 10 minutes. the guys in the water had to respond to math questions for as long as they were "swimming". you'll be fine in a 4 ml. wet suit in my opinion.
