In Response To: rolling? (risto lappalainen)

Therese, I agree with the above comments. I have rolled the feathercraft and it is easily possible, but it felt strange, as it is not at all solid and required that I pressured my knees against the framework. So, as others have said it would be best to learn in something else. Once you have good rolling skills, you'll be able to apply them to any kayak and make the necessary adjustments to be successful. Your craft is an excellent choice, and very seaworthy. Like all take-aparts it is somewhat of a compromise in terms of pure paddling/maneuvering performance, but it's packability is great. All kayaks are a compromise in some way. By learning to roll you will be able to better enjoy your kayak, even though you may never have to roll. I'm sure dealers who are familiar with these craft will be able to make easy mods that will improve your fit in the kayak. Enjoy your boat!
