: Hi Bert
: I am actually the Gran Poobah for Azul Sea Kayaks and stuff and was looking
: for objective feedback of the people who use the stuff and not company
: info.
: I think for the first two of the hard chiners I will have the Valley hatches
: 16x9 with a 9 inch round quickie. I will be down in Maine giving them a
: test run in December .
: Gotta love this job!
: Thanks for the help. I really like the look of the Ellesmere ! have you had
: it in the surf and or blowing wind.?
: Mark
Good morning Mark and good luck in your new endeavours.Yes I've had my Ellesmere out in all kinds of conditions, once in a gale way beyond my skill level and it handled well.Fairly neutral weathercocking, and a good balance between tracking and turning.I prefer the small cockpit as I,m average build myself but a lot of my friends are leery of the size (getting in and out and entrapment concerns) but it rolls nicely and I,ve done lots of wet exits too and no problem, you just slither out same as any kayak.
Blue skies and soft landings.
Bert
