In Response To: Re: You are alone/not entirely (Brian Nystrom)

I've spent the last two hours reading some of your threads that tail out over a month or so. I'm new to kayaks, we rented two sit on tops last summer and I fell in love with the sport. We have since purchased two used perception sea kayaks and I couldn't be happier. The only problem is my limited experience and our area's lack of instructors. We paddle on the Mississippi and it's not what I would call Sea Kayak Central around here. Your discussions have been interesting and helpful.
From a limited perspective, I have agreed with your opinions on rolling. I have not mastered any rolling moves, but after reading everyone's thoughts, I will activeliy pursue it this spring when the ice is off. I have found that wet exists are not all that fun.
Sorry if my message has tended to ramble, I'm just excited that I have found a place I can "listen in" on other people's conversations about a sport I am very interested in.
Any advise on good skill books would also be helpful.
Thanks,
Bruce
