I think more in terms of the wrist position in relation to the hips, and of the head position, and of the paddle blade position, which is what I need to look at. As I said, the only "blind" success I had was when my hands didnt move from the paddling position.
I think Murray's advice of a few hundred more rolls is probably right up there, too. I didnt think to count how many I did. At least 50, but probably not a hundred. I'd do a few on each side, rest a little, think a little, repeat.
Also, regarding an earlier post on the difficulty going from euro to greenland-ish paddle, I found quickly that as soon as I started hitting them with my favorite paddling paddle, it quickly became my favorite rolling paddle too. That old experiment is firewood now. I sold one at a garage sale to a lady who wanted it for a curtain rod
