: I paddle a plastic (not fiberglass) Necky Looksha IV and like it. I do not
: know if this is the right kayak for you. You should paddle as many
: different brands and styles as you can. This is kind of like buying a
: backpack. You have to wear it for a while to see if it fits properly.
: There are a lot of good kayaks out there.: Bill
: Brought to you from beautiful Unalaska/Dutch Harbor, Alaska.
: N 53°51.140' W 166°30.228'Bill's advice is rock solid. I have a Necky (Looksha Sport) and I like the layout and it fits well. Well constructed, responsive hull. The Sport, however is not a regular length sea kayak. Great for all around fun (medium range, surf, small tidal rivers, you name it), but not enough volume for extended trips. If it is any indication of Necky's general approach to sea kayaks, I recommend taking a good look at Necky hulls.
Different boats for different folks.
