I paddle a plastic (not fiberglass) Necky Looksha IV and like it. I do not know if this is the right kayak for you. You should paddle as many different brands and styles as you can. This is kind of like buying a backpack. You have to wear it for a while to see if it fits properly. There are a lot of good kayaks out there.

: planning on buying a sea-kayak soon. I'm not very experienced yet, I have
: taken an intro to expedition sea kayaking course and have paddled a couple
: of times. I want to do adventure trips in remote areas for a week or so at
: a time. I work at REI in Sacramento and I can pro-deal a sea kayak but I
: don't know what one to get and there aren't many experienced sea kayakers
: at our store. I thought I'd try over here! I think I have narrowed my
: choices down to a Perception Eclipse or one of the Necky models. Any
: advice? Thanks!
