Don, Keep at it. You have several thousand rolls ahead of you, and much time in real world conditions before combat roll status is achieved. So many learn in a pool, do a dozen or so a year in flat shallow water, and claim to have a roll. Just keep at it and make a deal with yourself to do 30 or so every time you get in your kayak regardless of time of year, temp, wind etc.. Now that you've had some success you really need to imprint your learning by repetition. Don't be afraid of the mask. Use it and when you are firing off a few rolls with it, simply remove it and do a few more, gradually reducing your reliance on it. Cheers MH P.S. Don't head shrink this stuff too much - have fun and relax.
