Maybe Brad is just empty-handedly kicking off the "Community Leatherman" project. You know, it that idea that since no one uses their own Leatherman to it's full potential that we can share a Leatherman between, say 50 or so of us. Just leave your Leatherman where you last used it, say at a lunch stop or better yet at the put-in / take-out, and the next person that needs one can just reach down, pick it up as use it. Afterwards they just return it to a conspicuous location where it will patiently wait for the next user. This program does work! Think of all the natural resources we will save in the process.
Hey, if Amsterdam can do it with bicycles we should be able to do it with Leathermans. I think you can even write-off the cost of the Leatherman if you submit it as a donation to the "World Leatherman Project"
I used to attach a 6" tail of red line to mine so I would not lose it. But based in no small part of Brad's example I will remove the red line so I won't be tempted to keep the Leatherman to myself any longer.
