That's a little tuff for me to say. In the rolling I have done, it's been on nice hot sunny days (I'm a fair weather roller cause nobody wants to spot me now that it's cold ) and when I finished the shirt underneath was damp from sweat. I did not feel any cold water trickling in so I guess I have to say yes. In my experience with drysuits for diving (I dive dry) I have found no suit to be perfectly dry all the time. If you get a wrinkle in the seal, or to much hair around the wrist they leak. Some days I stay dry and toasty other days I end up a little damp. The same has held true with my dry top and pants for paddling. Judging from my dive partners and paddling buddys I'm not alone. I get wetter from sweat than from submersion and it's more from the dry bibs I use. I have found the top very breathable and I'm sure you will be happy with it, I am! Good Luck and happy paddling!
