: Jed, Who told you that! Eyes open - eyes shut? Just roll up.

: Tomorrow I go to some guru laser guy in BC
: to see if he can do my eyes! Have you got a surf boat yet?I'm thinking you already have your suspicions about who it was that told be that. A certain elder statesman of the sport from the northern part of GB. Those who have taken a class with him know who I mean as well. But since he is such a nice if somewhat opinionated guy, I'd prefer not to include his name here.
Yes, I bought a couple of surf boats (Necky Bliss and Gliss) at the beginning of the summer. What a hoot, wish I lived closer to the surf. I do think I'm a bit heavy for the Bliss at 230#. The boat surfs just fine but it's difficult for me to acquire the wave sometimes. The bow pearls really easily with all of my mass weighing it down. I've been spending more time in the surf in my long boat. Two weeks ago we went out in the remnants of a tropical storm that had the seas whipped up pretty good by NE standards. Sustained 20 knot winds gusting to 30+. I was well thrashed but survived with another couple of horror stories.
Good luck with your eye guy, it really is a miraculous procedure.
