: What about pogies?
If you need pogies to keep your hands warm, try a single pogie in the center of the loom. Leave it loosly attached so you can slide it into position for either hand as necessary. It will proclude using much of a sliding stroke, but when paddling into an icy headwind it can make the difference between comfort and pain.
I normally carry my one pogie on my front deck and just attach it to the paddle when needed. This one pogie method also means you can also share your other one to a friend in need
