Bill, First of all there's nothing wrong with an unfeathered paddle! Many hot rodeo boaters and surf kayakers and sea paddlers are using very little if any feather, so if you like it keep at it. You have a good kayak, and judging by the numbers you give I'd guess your technique to be good, as you are cruising nicely. One real world test of technique is a few long days. Bill, do you have any leakage issues with the Necky hatch system? Is your GPS set for nautical miles? If not, you may want to switch this function for nav purposes. These are awesome tools.
