I use seal saver after every use, unless on a trip. You can add greatly to the comfort by using a neck ring. This allows for heat to escape and doesn't alter safety, as even if you flipped you'd only get a few cups of water in before you pulled the neck ring out. Also if you find conditions getting rough you can remove the neck ring and seal the neck completely. Not sure 10 years is realistic for a regular boater, but I hear the new Gore fabrics are more durable. I get a hard year out of a dry top before the fabric in the underarm area bubbles etc..
