Its quite interesting to follow Don's progress into rolling;

This always happens: sometimes there's quite a gap if one's own happens to be a difficult one.

One could use both kinds: go back to the power blade if the boat gives trouble, but always push on as it gets easier.

The boat matters greatly: beam, volume, rocker, shape (are the ends up-swept, etc)... Back-rest, knee-pads, hip-pads, ...
