Yes, they do work. Just be careful to tuck in as you roll so the water doesn't grab the glasses on their edge and tear them off your face. I use sunglasses with wrap around ear pieces that stay on quite well, but every thousandth roll or so I have to buy a new pair to replace the pair that sank.
