: In a pool session this weekend, a student of mine, felt very nauseous while

Hi Rob G,
Ginger is a method to minimise motion-sickness. I tried candied stem ginger and it works for me. Hold it in the mouth, chewing slightly for the juice, a bit like chewing tobacco, but nicer and healthier.![]()
I know it isn't for everyone, for some reason, they say it's too hot. ??
I also tried those patches and dramamine, at different times, and I actually got sicker.![]()
Motion-sickness can be caused by the fluid in the inner ear getting more viscous. This can be from age or illness. A minor, unnoticed ear infection could trigger it.Hope this helps,
Mike Savage
