Read your comment about ballast helping stability in Catalina with much interest. Tried a triathlon (run, pedal, paddle) for the first time this weekend and realized I need a faster kayak than the Waldon Vista and Necky Manitou I am used to, and because of certain circumstances, the Barracuda would be my first choise as I hear it is excellent for raw speed. But salesmen and comments on web seem to focus on how "tippy" the Barracuda is... What is your opinion and do you feel ballast in Barracuda would help overall stability? If so, how much and where placed? Thanks very much!!
