Move your seat forward an inch or 2 and most boats are faster becuase you are avoiding the stern squat that raises noae out of water. Grab and ride or draFT upsteram. I love heed by hammer nutrition. Have fun!
: How much effect does the drag from shallow water have on speed? If going
: upstream in slower current near the shore, does the shallow water drag
: offset the gain from the slower current?: I will be racing on a winding river with a 1 mph current (no rapids), 5 miles
: upstream and then 5 miles back downstream. Any advice or rules of thumb on
: how to choose a course would be appreciated. Any web resources on this?: Thanks,
: John
