Hi

I am one of the three kayakers and the account that was at www.recorder.ca
was more accurate as the information was given by me and I was actually in the water during the incident.

One paddler could not re-enter his kayak and that was the problem with everything else unfolding from there.

We did have flares, GPS, normal kayaking equipment, I had the ability to re-enter my kayak several times while trying to tow the other kayaker, I stayed in the water with him for four hours until the conditions improved, entered his kayak and was towing him towards shore when the rescue took place.

I did not burn any buildings or call a mayday but worked all day trying to get someone to shore who couldn't.

Any constructive criticism is welcomed but if you weren't there well you just weren't there.
