Your standing height isn't that important for paddle length. What matters is your sitting height in the boat you like to use coupled with your paddling style. Since a vertical stroke is best, in my humble opinion, shorter is better. I'm 5'8" and I like lenths in the 200 to 210 range. I use 217 for my wing paddle, but that stroke moves out from the kayak and hence favors a slightly longer paddle.

Why don't you get a paddle with a variable length? The epic paddle with the length lock mechanism is nice.
