I had a similar experience in the Yukon with osprey. There was a nest on the small island adjacent to where we were camping. A couple of times I paddled around the osprey island. Although I kept well away from their island, as soon as the boat angle altered even slightly toward them, I would hear shrill cries from the concerned parents.
