That depends on your personal preferences. The only way to know for sure is to try one.

Seriously, I've got instructions on doing a "seat-ectomy" on a VCP boat at the link below. They're in the "Seat Removal & Replacement" album. The boat pictured is an Anas Acuta, but I used the same procedure on my Pintail.
