I remembered another kids boat - It was a home built SOF made by Marcel Rodriguez on the builders forum. He did a custom design for his 7 year old daughter McKinley. As I recall he said it was fairly inexspensive and was built in a very short time. He has pictures on his website from start to finish of that boat and several others that he has built. I think he lives somewhere in the PNW, You can E-mail him from his home page.
