I have a CD Andromeda with a medium V hull. I lowered the seat to the minimum and when I take my feet off of the pegs. lay my legs flat along the center and bottom of the V, scrunch forward so my torso is at the lowest, I am markedly more stable in rough water. I do have near perfect hip and thigh braces that allow good contact even in this position!
Whatever works for each of us is the rule, in this case whatever you do that lowers the center of gravity and puts in in the center of the bottom of the hull and allows you to maintain contract with the hull with hips will increase stability.
Good luck finding your sweet spot
