These vertebrae are very close to the sacral disk: you absolutely DO NOT want to do anything to injure that disk. Injuring that disk will and I repeat, will cause you endless amounts of pain that no end of drug therapy can minimize. My wife injured the L5/S1? disk and depends on opioids for pain management with no possibility of a cure. She is miserable because of it.
Get more opinions to be absolutely sure of what you are suffering from. A swiveling seat can minimize torso rotation but if your spinal issues are already at critical mass you could be tossing sparks at a pool of napalm. Confer with your doctor about the risks using a swiveling seat. Honestly, this is one road you wanna be careful walking along.
