Something I forgot to add (as usual :-). Unlike plastic kayaks that don't need maintenance (but can hardly be repaired), or fiberglass kayaks that need some maintenance but usually no repairs (though can be repaired if needed), folding kayaks need both maintenance and occasional repairs. Folding kayak is a totally diffenent creature. Occasional small jobs, like gluing some nick on skin, or replacing some loose rivet in frame, or some other parts, are very likely. It depends on how often the kayak is used, and sometimes just happens in normal course of aging. I had to buy a "rivet tool" for $12 or 15 for that purpose - easy to use, and it was used for other purposes many times already. Folbot might not the best folding kayak on the market, and they don't have 3-seaters like Klepper, but their customer service is very good - replacement parts arrive in a few days after e-mail or phone call, and lifetime warranty sometimes covers serious repairs (though it's often faster to fix small problems yourself).
