I haven't used one personally, but paddling friends of mine have. None of them seem overly enthusistic about it. They seem more enamored of the concept than of the product. It will definitely work, but you're probably best off to treat it as an aid in reducing hand pumping, rather than as a replacement for a hand pump. That brings up an important point, you still need to carry a hand pump in case of battery run-down or failure.
