Good. I think there is great value in learning a good solid wing stroke.
Buying them is a bit tough ... especially given that most people wouldn't want to use a wing as their day-to-day paddle. If you can borrow one for a few weeks, though, it would be well worth it.
I'd be interested in hearing from you instructors "out there". Have any of you used the wing as a teaching tool to teach advanced features of the forward stroke? Just based on my own experience, the wing has taught me a huge amount about both Euro and Greenland paddling. I haven't tried it out, however, as a teaching tool with students.
