: with a wing, tho!***Sculling with a wing is extremely difficult and not often done. You have two options. You can sweep forward with the powerface, and then rotate the paddle all the way around so you seep backward with the back of the paddle. Alternatively, you can do the sculling in both phases of the stroke with the back face of the wing, but its a bit squirly.
Saving a roll with a sculling motion is not needed with a wing. If you do a forward sweep roll with the wing, there is so much force generated at the blade, that comeing up is not problem at all. That is why many of us call wings "cheater sticks" when it comes to rolling. The easiest rolling-paddle in the world is a wing.
