fun with kayaks

I finally got the patrol boat on the local lake to buzz me when he sees me- twice tonight! The wake is fun, and then you can catch the transverse wave at an angle and really fly for a long time. I was getting soft so did a couple of rolls without plugs, and didn't get hardly any water up my nose. I also discovered that I was exiting my paddle too late on my forward stroke limiting my forward plant- fixed it just in time for my trip! Life is good-what a great way to forget a stressful work day. I have also been surfing sailboats- if you get a strong wind and a deep square sterned sailboat, you can keep right up to them on a fast downwind leg- they can't believe it. Fun fun.
