: Bert--
: A woman who I used to paddle with, who was predominantly right-handed, always
: favored setting up on the right side, capsizing to the right and coming up
: with a brace on the left side. Being comfortable and reliable is more
: important than which side you come up on.Yes I agree but it seems to me your friend was in the minority in regards to which side she preferred to brace on.I'm just curious as to why the right brace seems much more popular.I still remember my first pool course when we were finished all the preliminary exercises (hip flicking at the edge of the pool etc)and it was time to tip over and give it a whirl I sat there and pondered about which way I should capsize and I decided to go left and come up on the right. I don't remember why I chose the left capsize but that has determined which side is dominant for me ever since.
In Sing's post he explained that he practised his offside roll so hard that it became his onside after a period of time but I suspect most poeple don't work as hard at it as he does.: And Tim--around here a crab roll involves mayo and a toasted bun.
Yes, I want to see that one ,lettuce and jalopinos on mine please
