How well would you be able to swim in those MEC Swellies ?

My feeling (as a whitewater paddler) is that there are drysuits with gore-tex booties that would keep your feet warm and dry and than you could just wear a shoe like Five-Ten Nemos on top to give padding and abrasion resistance.

Anyone here that has been swimming in MEC Swellies or similar boot ?
