Yes, similar idea.

A Greenland paddle doesn't quite feel the same in a "slap" brace, but I really prefer to do a solid sculling brace with it. I've used mine so much lately I'm more comfortable with it in rough conditions than with my Euro.

It's a big matter of what you're used to...
