Greenland Paddle

The more I use my greenland paddle the more I enjoy it. The only time I'm not comfortable useing it is in rough conditions. When paddleing in rough condition with my euro paddle I turn the bottom of the blade foreward so that my paddle stroke is also a braceing stroke to give me the stability I may need. Is this same technique what I should do when paddleing in rough conditions with a greenland paddle? Or what tips would anyone have for me to help brace while paddleing. Thanks for any help.
