I received the best xmas present this year. I new 14ft Kayak for two. Since I do not have an outbuilding I want to store the unit in my 2-car garage overhead. I have place ropes at both ends approximately 2-ft from each end and attached the rodes directly to the ceiling to keep it Out of the Way..MY QUESTION: Should I store it Sitting in the upright position or Upside down ? I heard someone say the storing a unit incorrectly can cause a kayak/canoe to be structurely damaged !! Same questions concerning carrying the unit on the SUV
