...you're now agreeing with virtually every argument people here have made against sponsons? Too bad that didn't happen months ago. It would have save you a lot of grief. 
One final question. How can you recommend Tim's product for the limited applications you cite when you KNOW that people will read his diatribe and be led to believe they're "safety panacea"? The least you could do is recommend Voyageur's sponsons instead (see link below), which should spare the buyer from all the lies and maniacal ranting. I realize that it's the same product and the Timbo is probably making a few bucks off them, but at least the only thing the user has to wade through is the instructions, which are free from Timmy's insane claims.
