Fixing a loose button

If the holes are a bit worn, it's a simple matter to paint a few coats of epoxy on the edges to reduce the hole size. Add a little Cabosil to make it more resistant to wear. Make the holes a bit too small to start. Paint the button with a Sharpie marker to see where it's binding, then carefully sand the holes for a perfect fit. Remember to do both the inner and outer holes.

BTW, in a pinch, I've even done this with quick drying automotive lacquer.
