Rolling is the best way to prevent hypothermia available to a kayaker. PERIOD!!
Sponsons are like training wheels.......after you circle the block once with them, they are more of a hinderance than a help.

Put the real statistics out there and educate people so they can make informed decisions. Tim is like Chicken Little running around crying "The sky is falling" when there is no evidence to support his claim. The fewer sponsons he sells the louder he yells.

: are doing?Learning and teaching proper skills. Everyone I know who bought a pair of sponsons does not use them. They sit on a shelf because they are, in fact, a nuisance and a hazard. Quoting people who have never kayaked in their lives as saying that sponsons save lives is so much BULL**IT!
