Charles,

You can title your "Tip" report (now I know why you call them that!):

"The Exhaustive Tale of Two Neophytes That Thought They Knew More Than NOAA and Their Silly Small Craft Advisory!"

You could subtitle it..."Three to Five Foot Seas, Sheesh That's Kidstuff!"

Somehow to redeem this post I must add something about technique.

I was very excited when that instinctive brace kept me from going for a swim in that mess. I truly was amazed that as I was going over I had time to think "I do not want to swim" and "SLAP" I didn't! Cool!
