A case for 90 degrees

One other thought about the advantage of a 90-degree feather:
If your paddle blades are completely symetrical (like Derek Hutchinson's Toksook paddle) then it doesn't matter how you grab the paddle - orient one blade and you KNOW where the other one is, without having to look, or flip your paddle, or anything.
Of course, the same thing applies to zero* feather as well. (That's why I like my Greenland stick - doesn't matter how I grab it, it's always ready to go!)
Of course, this doesn't apply to asymmetrical blades or feather angles other than 0 and 90.
