I have the adjustment on a wing paddle, and do change it within about a 5cm range depending on how I feel on a particular day and what kind of paddling I will be doing. I do not, however, change the feather angle.

The other reason for using the Epic Length-Lock is just that it provides a very solid joint for a breakdown paddle. I have an older 'button and hole' Werner breakdown with a lot of miles on it and it's become somewhat sloppy. It's still quite useable, but doesn't have the good feel of a one piece shaft.
