That coaming is broken at the front and needs to be repaired (easy fix). I'd guess that this is a result of your situation, and / or your demonstrating the difficulty on the beach. I'm not down playing your story at all, just amazed that you had soo much trouble with your spray deck. All those coamings are standard off of the same tool, which doesn't extend 2". My deck fits incredibly tight..actually a pain to get on, but I often wet exit shy of the shore and walk the boat in to preserve the fins. Never a problem. I may be fixing that boat for Andy, so I'll definitely measure the coaming, and perhaps even attach a photo of such. Take care.
