You have to be a little careful when doing this to an unsuspecting, but still conscious victim. They may move unpredictably, and you'll *whack* their head with your hull. But...in the surf zone, I'm assuming you had helmets on anyway.
A bump on the noggin is still better'n going to Davey Jones' locker.
Throwing the victim to the aft deck or foredeck helps lower their center of gravity and makes it easier to right them.
